Aloo Bela · आलू बेला

The ground of Aloo Bela is a warm peach-blush: the precise colour of morning light before it turns gold, the colour that sits gently on every skin tone. The Jamdani weave gives it a slight texture and quiet lustre that flat cotton cannot replicate. Across the body, large foxglove-style flower clusters are woven in — each one a vertical spire of deep rose buds and green leaves, placed with the irregular spacing of a hand-made thing. No two clusters land identically. The supplementary weft threads carry the rose and green through the peach ground, visible from both sides. Antique gold tassels finish the hem.
