Gul Bagicha · गुल बगीचा
A warm ivory Maheshwari silk-cotton body covered end to end in a generous rust-red hand block floral vine daisy forms, curling stems, full leaves in the earthy pigments of a Mughal garden at its most abundant.
The silk warp gives the ivory ground a natural luminosity that makes every printed flower appear to sit slightly above the surface, dimensional and alive. The black border with its dense white floral grid and woven gold chevron zari selvedge grounds all that abundance with quiet authority. The most joyful sari in the collection and the one that fills a room before you do.
